History of company

The predecessor of the current company “Silniční a vodohospodářské stavby” was established on January 1^st 1959 by amalgamation of two smaller municipal companies. The company was founded by the Capital of Prague in order to develop, repair, and restore utility networks and roads in Prague.

In 1992, the company was joined by capital-strong partner – the Austrian construction company TEERAG - ASDAG AG from Vienna - and the state-owned enterprise was changed to a joint-stock company. In 1999, Pražské silniční a vodohospodářské stavby, a.s. became part of the great Austrian concern PORR, AG.

From the beginning of its existence, this firm is a powerful, technologically well-equipped company with qualified employees and stable financial background.

Its successful development is supported also by the fact that the company has extended its operation to other regions of the Czech Republic and expands successfully also the scope of construction works and technologies.
